Exercise sequence
Coaching points
- Movement quality matters more than speed — fix the pattern before asking for pace.
- Use simple language and images ("like a crab", "light feet") instead of formal technical instruction.
- Leave room for mistakes and laughter — at this age motivation matters as much as the movement itself.
- Vary the course between sessions to keep interest up, while keeping the base movement patterns.
Progressions
- Add a simple choice at the end of the course (left or right) to combine decision-making with movement.
- Turn the circuit into a team challenge, relay-style.
Regressions
- Halve the length of the course.
- Run the course alongside the coach, step by step.
