DistributionRepresentativeTactics
Quick release to launch the transition
Train fast distribution right after the save, choosing between rolling and throwing to attack the opponent’s imbalance — combines two thin topics in the window where transitions are won.

1 steps
After a save, the goalkeeper must distribute immediately to the side where the opponent is most open, choosing to roll (short and safe) or throw (fast and long).
Exercise sequence
Coaching points
- The transition is won in the first seconds: whoever distributes fast catches the opponent disorganised.
- Choose to roll to the near and safe, throw to the far and free — the decision reads the field, not the habit.
- Speed can’t cost accuracy: a fast but careless distribution hands the ball back to the opponent.
- Lift the head during the save, to already know the target before the ball is secured.
Progressions
- Immediate decision after the save.
- Shut one of the outlet zones.
Regressions
- Time to choose the target.
- Bring the zones closer.
