Loaded hip mobility with a light band
Link hip range to strength within range, with light resistance, so the dive has power at the end of the movement and not only at the start — adds coverage to a still-modest mobility topic.

The coach serves and manages the breaks.
Banded hip abductions and rotations, seeking control of the force throughout the range, especially at the end, where the hip is usually weak. Light band first, then medium.
Coaching points
- Strength is useless only at the start of the range — train to control the band to the end of the movement.
- The hip strong at maximum range is the one that drives the long lateral dive without injury.
- Full control: each rep is slow and complete, without swings that steal work from the hip.
- Work both sides equally and without joint pain.
Progressions
- Medium band with more resistance.
- Increase the range under load.
Regressions
- Light band, focus on control.
- Reduce the movement range.
