Receiving the back-pass and opening up (u10)

Exercise sequence
Coaching points
- The first touch takes the ball away from imagined pressure, to the free side, not to the feet.
- Open the body before the ball arrives, to see the field and not end up facing away.
- Look up before receiving, so the outlet is already known — the head lifts before the foot.
- Firm, clean controlling surface; no unnecessary touches that delay the decision.
Progressions
- Pass the ball from one side, forcing the body to open.
- Add a second outlet target.
Regressions
- Always a slow frontal pass.
- Allow two controlling touches.
