After-conceding reset routine (senior)
Consolidate a reliable recovery routine after conceding, tested under load and continuous sequence — mistake recovery was a thin topic and underpins consistency across a match.

A sequence of shots with a deliberately unsaveable goal in the middle. The work is in the seconds that follow: the same fixed routine, executed under the fatigue and frustration of conceding.
Exercise sequence
Coaching points
- The routine is always identical: physical gesture + keyword, so automatic it resists the emotion of conceding.
- The eyes go to the next action, not to the ground or the scorer — the past can’t be saved.
- Under a continuous sequence, the routine must fit in seconds; train to compress it without losing it.
- Reinforce the fast recovery aloud — what is praised gets repeated.
Progressions
- Continuous sequence with a forced goal in the middle.
- Add an observing audience.
Regressions
- Pause between shots.
- Reduce the demand of the following shots.
